A stunning custom Cowboy Cruiser is now on display at the iconic Le Bon Marché store in Paris. The one-off model was created in partnership with Tokyo's famous COW BOOKS bookstore, as part of 'The World of Books' — an exhibition celebrating the planet's best book stores, curated by the legendary Sarah Andelman.
Pared-back Design
The bike is a pristine Paper White colour, set against a black-stained oak box. The monochrome design is completed by the subtle COW BOOKS logo and their motto 'All For Freedom' in Japanese text.
The Tokyo Connection
As a former Tokyo resident himself, Cowboy's Design Director, Richard Bone has a deep understanding of Japanese minimalism and of COW BOOKS' cult status: “We chose to paint the bike white to reference the purity of paper, and to elevate and build contrast with the text which is the key detail on the design. Working with COW BOOKS and selecting 'All For Freedom' as the text, something that embodied both brands, was a privilege.”
Colette Legacy
The collaboration is a brainchild of Sarah Andelman, a revered figure in the Paris fashion scene and former owner of the iconic Parisian lifestyle store, Colette. By connecting luxury brands at Le Bon Marche with famous bookstores like COW BOOKS, Andelman is creating a unique platform where high fashion meets literary culture. This collaboration is not just about creating a limited-edition product; it's a statement in the art and premium brand world, showcasing how diverse creative fields can come together to create something truly extraordinary.
This one-off bike is €P.O.A. To see the bike and find out more, visit Le Bon Marché store before the exhibition ends on April 21st, 2024.
